MY BODY PAINTING EXPERIENCE

My first time getting body painted naked VLOG...and I hope not my last! Local Houston artist @vidadesuazo and photographer @sofiavanderdys created a Garden of Eden masterpiece using my body as a canvas. Growing up as a potter, painter, and artist, I have really missed practicing my art. I have been dedicating my life to raw foods, diet, and healthy lifestyle. I realize now how much I miss how art can really be of anything and in everything. So grateful for this experience! It was so much fun!

  1. I'm black and I am not offended by this. You are not doing a buffoonish mockery of a black person with an afro or braid hairstyle so this is not blackface. This was just art with black as the base color. Thanks for apologizing though. You really didn't do anything wrong.

  7. Black can be beautiful and enriching, thanks for proving that. (Although I can see where the face treatment might be alarmingly and painfully reminiscent of demeaning blackface to others. I can't honestly say I would have been able to appreciate the beauty of the art and of your intentions if I had not already been familiar with your videos and come to have a positive impression of you overall.)

  11. How can this be offensive??? Sorry but that is an expression of art and people is relating this with something that happen in the early 1900's it was offensive then but now I don't think it applies move forward stop living in the past, this is a new generation and the world have make significant changes for God sake we have a Black president...

  12. A bunch of idiots that have way too much time on their hands. Blacks are not the only people that are discriminated against in sweet USA because of the color of their skin. You got offended because you chose to get offended. Grow up ppl

  15. I swear people these days. It's just art!! I don't see what people are getting offended about. The purpose of this video was not to offend anybody or put black paint on her face to disrespect anyone! It was merely to show off the beautiful body paint. The reason her whole body was painted black was to make the colors pop. Smh, I guess people can't use certain colors without being offended by the smallest things! People grow up! There are much more important things to worry about than getting offended over someone using black body paint for art! Yes, I know that for some people it reminds them of black face but you need to realize that it was no where near her intentions to hurt or offend anybody.

  19. bruh these people who screamed racism also disrespected the artist too. I imagine he must feel terrible.

  20. It does look like she's in black face. They should have used a different color for the background like green. I don't think she was intentionally trying to be racist. But She looks scary 👀

  23. Quit turning everything into a race issue. Are we allowed to enjoy anything without it being about race?

    ReplyDelete
  24. I can see both sides of this issue here. I think for anyone not having watched you before, it could have been alarming. The flowers would have made me want to see more about what was going on. Satire? Statement?....nope, just art! I think you look great and BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL, so it's not a surprise. For anyone that doesn't understand in the slightest, that's because either you've never had to understand or you've decided to remove yourself from the plight. Kristina, do you! If anything, you have cause there to be discussion which can never be bad!
