MY BODY PAINTING EXPERIENCE
My first time getting body painted naked VLOG...and I hope not my last! Local Houston artist @vidadesuazo and photographer @sofiavanderdys created a Garden of Eden masterpiece using my body as a canvas. Growing up as a potter, painter, and artist, I have really missed practicing my art. I have been dedicating my life to raw foods, diet, and healthy lifestyle. I realize now how much I miss how art can really be of anything and in everything. So grateful for this experience! It was so much fun!

I'm black and I am not offended by this. You are not doing a buffoonish mockery of a black person with an afro or braid hairstyle so this is not blackface. This was just art with black as the base color. Thanks for apologizing though. You really didn't do anything wrong.
ReplyDeleteNot even racist, people just crave something to complain about
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning!
ReplyDeleteloving your art and colors kristina. keep em up 😊
ReplyDeletean apology was not needed. thats all I will say because I don't want to put negative comments on your page so new people coming here won't see it. love the art! have a good day.
ReplyDeletepeople are full of themselves this is art . period. take an art class people. keep being yourself and dont be ashamed . haters gona hate. spread the love . 😘😎🙈🙊🙉
ReplyDeleteBeatiful
ReplyDeleteYou look awesome. I am woman of color. I am not offend by your art work. You look beautiful, pumpkin. I have met you, you are beautiful inside and outside. Continue doing you, organically.
ReplyDeleteBlack can be beautiful and enriching, thanks for proving that. (Although I can see where the face treatment might be alarmingly and painfully reminiscent of demeaning blackface to others. I can't honestly say I would have been able to appreciate the beauty of the art and of your intentions if I had not already been familiar with your videos and come to have a positive impression of you overall.)
ReplyDeleteI love this, it's so beautiful and I hope that one day I'll be brave enough to create beautiful art with my body.
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful :-) I would love to see more art work!
ReplyDeleteLook at what the Dutch do. THIS IS NOT BLACK FACE.
ReplyDeleteHow can this be offensive??? Sorry but that is an expression of art and people is relating this with something that happen in the early 1900's it was offensive then but now I don't think it applies move forward stop living in the past, this is a new generation and the world have make significant changes for God sake we have a Black president...
ReplyDeleteA bunch of idiots that have way too much time on their hands. Blacks are not the only people that are discriminated against in sweet USA because of the color of their skin. You got offended because you chose to get offended. Grow up ppl
ReplyDeleteAWSOME!!!!!!!÷
ReplyDeleteI THINK YOU ARE HOT CHRISTINA! !!!
ReplyDeletethank you for the video, you are such an inspiration and a positive role model for everyone out there.
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful! I love it and reminds me of the Desigual clothing line with the vibrant colors. Compliments to you and the artists. Be proud of it really beautiful.
ReplyDelete6 hours o.o
ReplyDeleteI swear people these days. It's just art!! I don't see what people are getting offended about. The purpose of this video was not to offend anybody or put black paint on her face to disrespect anyone! It was merely to show off the beautiful body paint. The reason her whole body was painted black was to make the colors pop. Smh, I guess people can't use certain colors without being offended by the smallest things! People grow up! There are much more important things to worry about than getting offended over someone using black body paint for art! Yes, I know that for some people it reminds them of black face but you need to realize that it was no where near her intentions to hurt or offend anybody.
ReplyDeleteIs it Portland, Oregon or Portland, Maine
ReplyDeletewow this is amazing!! and waving your hair that way is a plus. so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteTruly inspiring work of art Kristina .Love the use of colours and if anyone tells you otherwise they are narrow minded keep up the good work.
ReplyDeletebruh these people who screamed racism also disrespected the artist too. I imagine he must feel terrible.
ReplyDeleteloved this Kristina!
ReplyDeleteIt does look like she's in black face. They should have used a different color for the background like green. I don't think she was intentionally trying to be racist. But She looks scary 👀
ReplyDeleteThe body art is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteUmm.......wow. 😳
ReplyDeleteHey Kristina, you should watch the I am not a Robot music video by Marina and the Diamonds. Beautiful song and beautiful body paint. Just like yours 💖
ReplyDeleteBlack is Beautiful. Why is everyone complaining? Beautiful ART. ❤
ReplyDeleteQuit turning everything into a race issue. Are we allowed to enjoy anything without it being about race?
ReplyDeleteI can see both sides of this issue here. I think for anyone not having watched you before, it could have been alarming. The flowers would have made me want to see more about what was going on. Satire? Statement?....nope, just art! I think you look great and BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL, so it's not a surprise. For anyone that doesn't understand in the slightest, that's because either you've never had to understand or you've decided to remove yourself from the plight. Kristina, do you! If anything, you have cause there to be discussion which can never be bad!
