I like the idea of going back to basics. It enforces the stuff you learned already and there's always something new. Thanks Lisa
ReplyDeleteLisa, I don't have any Kryvaline in my kit. What are your faves or must-have colors I should start with?
ReplyDeleteThank you for starting this series of videos. I love it.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! FINALLY I understand how you get the paint activated. I had been so scared to overwet my paint that I couldn't get my lines to work. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
ReplyDeleteThank you
ReplyDeleteanother goodie
ReplyDeletehey lisa, can you please do a tutorial and getting bases perfect, I suck at painting a whole base eg. tigers
ReplyDeleteOMG you have no idea HOW MUCH this helps me...I'm just starting out & getting frustrated with the black running out And want to do long lines & I know its all about practice but it was starting to frustrate me the INITIAL basics that NO ONE had said ...Inky for black!!!! OMG OMG TY TY TY I was trying to think Maybe if was Brands that differed [which I know now they do too] Or maybe it was brushes [Which I know contributes too ...the right tool for the job] BUT IT WAS THIS the CONSISTENCY thing that I was getting stumped with...But couldn't put finger on it. SO TY HEAPS LisaJoy - YOu just helped a NEWBIE blossom today :D
ReplyDeletei was wondering if you can do a video on the essential you need as a face painter. i feel every time i go on a face paint website to buy paint i get SO over whelmed and end up buying the same spit cake and colors over and over. what colors and spit cakes do you feel are essential and most versatile that as a face painter you can get the most use out of. thank you so much love your work, i am a self taught face painter and learned everything i know by watching your videos. i would really appreciate if you could make this video.
ReplyDeletelooking forward to the next one
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for this video, it really helps!
ReplyDeleteCould you post the names of the colors you're using? I'm trying to put together a Kryvaline kit but not sure what are the names to order. Thank you!
Thank you so much for sharing this. I have watched video after video to try to learn how to do shading and never found someone who explained it well until now. I also liked the the rest of the info. Thanks.

ReplyDeleteHi Lisa,
ReplyDeleteI have a difficult time getting the paint consistency right when I'm pouncing a sponge. Do you have a video that addresses that?
Thanks!
Hi, Thank you for this tutorial, it is very helpful, I look forward to more videos on the basics. I do have a question it isn't really related to paint, but to actually working as a face painter. I wondered how do you handle it when people as you to do a free face painting gig? Thanks in advance for your reply. Xx
ReplyDeleteHI Lisa, I am just starting out on face painting. Thanks so much for your tutorials, they help a lot. Practicing the lines, tear drops and swirls what keeps happening is I seem to not have enough paint, especially on the tip of the brush. Somehow it is dry very quickly, no matter how much I try to load it (am using black from Diamond FX at the moment). Do you have any tip for me as how to have enough paint on the brush for longer or various lines without having to load it constantly with paint? Many thanks, Iris
ReplyDeleteI really love this idea. Thank you for putting up these videos. as a new face painter these really help.
ReplyDeleteWhich type of paints do you use?
ReplyDeleteHi I have a Ben Nye Professional Color Wheel i bought last year. I want to use it again but it has dried up. Does anyone know if there is a way to re-hydrate the Ben Nye professional color wheel. I am not sure if it is water or oil based or anything else but i really would love to find out how i can rehydrate my cream color wheel to face paint. Thank you so much in advance!
